Printed business cards are being used less and less.
And more and more of them are almost thrown away instantly once given out. People digitize most of that nowadays.

But what about a digital business card? You can email it or link to it from your printed card, which will maximize the lifespan of your contact information.

John Saddington of ChurchCrunch has released a free Digital Business Card Wordpress theme for download. It’s beautiful, sleek, and highly efficient.

I’d also like to offer http://www.mydropcard.com as something of an asset here. The service makes it easy to share contact info using your phone instead of trying to keep up with business cards.

Great template, though. Thanks for sharing!

I saw John’s post the other day and it prompted me to go by RyanBurns.me. It is nice to have one place to send people so that they can choose where to connect with you, as opposed to sending them only to your blog or twitter. This also helps shorten your email signature. No more “Follow me on twitter, read my blog, this is my company, find me on facebook, let’s get linked in…”

Very cool idea, you could combine it with a QR code so your paper card would have a 2D barcode that links to your digital card.
