Is a free table based design worth it? As a developer I say no. I’d be curious to know why someone would think it might be? Or, do they not do table based design they just have their own sites that way.
Table based design feels like using a synthesizer from the 80’s in your church band. It really shouldn’t be there anymore.

I guess the answer is it depends on what you get for your $3500 prize and what the on-going costs are. For some churches wanting to launch out onto the web it would probaby be a God send. And ,tables or not, it will help their churches far more than what they currently have.

PS just so you know, unlike many providers, the church123 CMS doesn’t use tables it’s css based.

This may sound like a great deal but it is not. We have had faith highway as a website host for about a year now and there customer service is terrible. I have never been able to call and get a live person, always a voicemail only. It took them 18 months to launch our site and it is like pulling teeth to get them to change anything. Be very aware of what you are getting yourself in to. I wouldn’t recommend them as a website host.
